Paw Foods Corp is a fictitious pet food company operating in Canada. Mr. Prashant Singh, the Head of Operations needs a daily dashboard for quick decision-making and knowing where the department stands on any given day. Mr. Singh needs to read this updated dashboard before hitting his 9 am executive meeting where he should be able to discuss demand forecast with Marketing and discount savings with Finance heads respectively.
With this dashboard, we largely explore these objectives:
- Who the top vendors are?
- Which vendors give us the highest discount?
- A profile of the inventory in stock
To solve for this we are going to create a dashboard consisting of the following reports
- Vendor Analysis Report - spending/location wise
- Top Vendors w.r.t discounts
- Total Invoices per period and Comparison
- Discount Savings
- Warehouse wise Inventory, Quantity wise Inventory and Value wise Inventory
- Current Inventory
- Historical Inventory
- Production Details with Scrap Value
Through our Azure Data Factory online course, you will learn to work with multiple data sources, build data models to understand relationships and format data in most appropriate visualizations. In other words, you will understand the business intelligence work flow.
The data behind this dashboard is generated daily and with Azure Data Factory we can craft dashboards and update the metrics every day.
